November 10, 2017   West Maui’s Plantation Days Celebration

Lahaina Restoration Foundation

NEW THIS YEAR ... 4 events in 4 locations along Front Street to celebrate West Maui’s Plantation Days!  One big street festival within easy walking distance will feature different aspects of  the plantation era.  In addition to the Sun Yat-sen Chinese Heritage Festival at Wo Hing Museum, you can take part in the grand opening of the expanded Plantation Museum on the top level of The Wharf Cinema Center. Outdoors in Campbell Park, Lahaina’s Second Friday stage will include a slideshow of Plantation Life scenes and video screening of “The Last Harvest” at Pioneer Mill. Located behind Baldwin Home Museum, The Village Galleries will feature the 25-year Jo Rockwell Collection – paintings of Maui’s Sugar Mills along with local artists who have documented plantation life on Maui. As a finale, follow the Chinese dragons dancing down Front Street! Click below for more details....
