Artist’s Statement: Baldwin Beach on the North Shore of Maui has trees, roots, and rocks that are covered then uncovered by water’s action with sand.  Turtle Ohanas have their grazing grounds and sleeping areas in tucked away coves.  I like to get to the beach early - my own version of dawn patrol.  An artist paints what is loved; I love everything North Shore.

These new images, influenced by Klimt and Japanese wood block prints, are unlike anything I have ever painted, and believe me, I have been painting for many many years. New materials ; Black watercolor paper, qouache (opaque watercolor) and gold paint.  This new method of presentation, mounted on wood panels, is simple and fresh.

Born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, with a BFA from CSUN - Magna Cum Laude, then two years of study in both Florence, Italy, and London, England (Royal College of Art).  I moved to Maui in my mid twenties;  My dream was to be an artist, live someplace beautiful, and have some adventures.  Done deal.

Update September 15, 2023  Pam has created a wonderful new pineapple series.  The 8 new paintings are featured below. We’ve also included images of work not available as the artist may consider a commission if the piece was lost in the recent Lahaina Fire.
